How Do You Use The Packager In Astroneer

In case anybody needs clearer instructions.

Information technology glues to the item you lot want to re-package and so yous can activate it.

The packager is the all-time thing added to the game for me. With the tractor and 2 trailers with the medium storage and a pile of graphite from the centrifuge, I was able to go collect quite a few medium solar panels and windmills from wrecks as I could repackage them and put them in a single slot. Another huge plus is the packager tin also be used on research. Take a bunch to the exotic moon and open up those pods. Every one of them so far had a 5900 byte inquiry on it. Shrink them with the packager and I carried four of five of them back to my base and now I've plenty of bytes. When I traveled to the exotic moon I was also able to hands pack my tractor and trailers back up likewise.

I couldn't figure it out at first either, best I can depict it for other is to stick it on something the aforementioned way you would with dynamite, don't slot information technology. It repackages a module to it's original cube size. very useful for getting your tractor/trailer back through portals

Yeah, if you can't notice natural graphite, yous can excerpt it from soil

It wont work for me either. I've tried looking online, wiki etc, watched a video and it just wont work. At first when I moused over it it gave a f pick but once I placed it into a socket on a tabular array the f went away and no information technology simply wont activate. idk.

Nvm. You lot "stick" information technology to the side of things then activate it once the greed indicator lite comes on.

I just got 1 use out of my packer. Information technology disappeared after packing my trailer. Is this intended?

Yes. Single apply. Graphite is easy to detect but if you don't want to look for information technology you can just use the centrifuge

You use them the aforementioned way you use Dynamite, you lot place it on the object and <Employ> it. If you put the packager on a slot, it will just occupy the slot and wont do anything so putting it on storage units to repack them probably wont piece of work unless you tin get to the bottom of the storage unit.

Information technology can be used on annihilation that is originally a package and anything that tin occupy any number of slots. Then equally noted, it tin exist used on research nodes as well. I don't know if information technology can exist used on broken vehicles or other debris or any of the exo research pods.
